While the government is being made to maintain status quo, the party organisation is also following a similar pattern. Barring a show-cause notice issued to BJP MP Rekha Varma and BJP MLA Shashank Trivedi who entered into a brawl in  public, the party has chosen to turn a blind eye to legislators who have been caught on camera abusing and manhandling  officials.Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey was appointed UP BJP chief four months ago, but he is still to make changes in the party organisation."Only those leaders from the party organisation who are now working in the government will be replaced. Despite a majority of 325 in a House of 403, the BJP is in no mood to disturb the status quo.  Reports of growing discontent, however, did surface at a recent coordination meeting convened by the RSS, but all sides were asked not to aggravate the situation. The rest of the team will not be disturbed," a party functionary said.To begin with, the BJP is faced with problematic allies in  China THREADED STUD UP — the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) in particular.of the RSS.When Yogi Adityanath took over as Uttar chief minister 10 months ago, his tone and tenor seemed that of a no-nonsense politician — one who would break rather than bend.

Mr Adityanath, as well as the BJP, are aware that with the Lok Sabha elections round the corner, they can hardly afford to shake the apple cart. SBSP president Om Prakash Rajbhar has been issuing ultimatums to the BJP on various issues and is known to misbehave with officials. The SBSP wields considerable influence over Rajbhar community, an important part of the most backward caste votebank.                                                    Lucknow: The BJP in Uttar Pradesh doesnt want to disturb the placid waters in the party and the government by effecting changes that could make  both of them responsive and vibrant. However, 19 months later he seems to have reconciled to the system and is apparently in no hurry to break the shackles.Though Mr Adityanath has pulled up the SBSP leader, who is also a minister, on two occasions, the BJP knows it cannot afford to let go of this ally. There are also a bunch of ministers whom the chief minister would like to get rid of at the earliest for reasons that range from under-performance to reports of corruption and defiance of orders.Sources said that if the Cabinet reshuffle does take place, it may lead to only cosmetic changes.Despite reports of these, the chief minister has avoided taking action. There have been about a dozen cases caught on camera showing BJP leaders misbehaving and these have gone viral on social media, tarnishing the image of the party and the state government. The BJP is also avoiding  action against members violating party discipline.                                                        BJP chief Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath at a party meeting in Lucknow.Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey was appointed UP BJP chief four months ago, but he is still to make changes in the party organisation. Prominent among those who have shifted to ministerial positions from the party  include Swatantra Dev Singh, Anupama Jaiswal (both general secretaries), Ashutosh Tandon, Dharampal (both vice-presidents), Rajesh Agarwal (treasurer) and Swati Singh (head of Mahila Morcha). It is better to let things remain as they are, rather than ruffle feathers unnecessarily," said senior party functionary. Most of the ministers have also been going against the diktats of the chief minister — whether it is declaration of assets, allowing relatives to take government contracts and flaunting VIP status."The much-awaited Cabinet reshuffle is being repeatedly put off because the party high command does not want any trouble erupting in Uttar Pradesh, which will single-handedly decide the outcome of the  Lok Sabha polls

The document examines how India is embracing Blockchain: ‘With cryptocurrency usage expanding rapidly, India could potentially become a hub for Blockchain technology.   Each block contains a timestamp. UK, Canada and the larger countries within the European Union are not far behind. Simultaneously, many IT players are starting to build applications to help banks use the Blockchain."The market for Blockchain-related products and services is expected to reach $7.
In essence, Blockchain is a type of distributed ledger in which transactions are sequentially grouped into blocks. For nations of all sizes, for big enterprises and small start-ups, seasoned professionals and career seekers alike, Blockchain seems set for interesting days ahead. The Assocham study finds that in recent months Indian startups have begun throwing their weight behind Blockchain technology. The attraction of Blockchain goes beyond companies,  to countries: Dubai has announced recently that it will aim to be world’s first Blockchain-powered government. Blockchains are protected against modification of the data. A large Indian commercial bank successfully implemented a smart contract-based vendor financing solution for one of its large clients in 2017. Banks, petroleum companies and local governments are using Blockchain in their daily business. Blockchain has the potential to help financial institutions slash costs by around $20 billion by 2022.  It remained controversial because of its ability to operate on the blind side of the regulatory radar. A year ago, Kenneth Arredondo, President & General Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan, for global enterprise software player CA Technologies, warned: "Blockchain will have to overcome its ‘guilt by association’ with Bitcoin problems.‘Several banks and financial institutions in India are actively looking to deploy certain workloads on Blockchain. Another startup is using the Blockchain with AI (artificial intelligence) to enable banks  THREADED STUD to authenticate and identify a person in a few hours. A one-year-old start-up has created a "bankchain" for banks to explore, build and implement Blockchain solutions in areas such as anti-money laundering, cross-border payments, asset registry and syndication of loans. These startups are helping spread the wings of Blockchain to a diverse range of industries. Once recorded, the data in any given block cannot be altered later without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the consent of the network. This hot new technology powers businesses to make their finances more secure — and it will see wide usage in 2018.’The technology is also useful in the public sector (managing public records and elections), healthcare (keeping records anonymous but easily available), retail and more. Nevertheless, it opened the floodgates to something much larger: the core technology on which Bitcoin operates is Blockchain — an uber secure way of managing ledger data. Some scepticism around distributed ledger technology (DLT) and Blockchain may arise from safety loopholes, the need for wide participation from banking institutions and regulatory bodies, etc. It will be linked to IndiaStack — the developers’ code for the  Aadhaar project — and in the long term will help reduce fraud, increase transparency of business transactions and tighten enforcement of contracts.
The year gone by saw the crypto or virtual currency, Bitcoin, in wider use. These companies are emerging as large recruiters for Blockchain.Today, Blockchain is redefining financial business across the world.Indian enterprises are testing the waters of Blockchain in a variety of scenarios: Invoices could soon pay themselves when a shipment arrives, and share certificates will automatically send their owners dividends if profits in their investment reach a certain level.  It has created an "ArabianChain", shifting government paperwork to this Blockchain and hopes to complete the transition by 2020. However, there might be further considerations that need to be taken into account in adopting Blockchain in India. The World Economic Forum forecasts that in the next 10 years, Blockchains will become a global decentralised source of trust that will seamlessly allow countries to collect taxes and individuals across the world to transfer money without the involvement of intermediaries, most of whom work for financial gains." Indications are it has done just that and Blockchain is ready to take off on its own. Typical of this trend are RecordsKeeper, a centralised storage repository for enterprises built on Blockchain, and Psi Phi Global, a company dedicated to offering "crypto lockers" to store and share documents using Blockchain.Says Lovleen Bhatia, CEO and co-founder of India-based edu-tech player Edureka: "From a career standpoint, financial services companies and Fintech startups have started recruiting Blockchain specialists in hordes. This obviously unlocks career opportunities. Each "block" is "chained" to the previous block and recorded across a network, using secret coding. NITI Aayog has announced that it is working to set up IndiaChain, India’s own Blockchain network. Take a casual look at your LinkedIn feed and you will notice that the number of openings for Blockchain-related jobs have tripled in the last year or so. Thanks to Blockchain technology, financial fraud could be significantly reduced as all financial data will be recorded in an open, public distributed ledger than can be accessed by anyone with an Internet connection. It is creating new opportunities for some of the larger, older, companies like IBM and Microsoft, writes Fortune magazine.7 billion in 2022, a sharp increase from $242 million last year, according to the researcher Markets & Markets. In essence, Blockchain is a type of distributed ledger in which transactions are sequentially grouped into blocks. IndiaChain could well end up as the largest Blockchain network in the world.Blockchain in IndiaAssocham joined with analysts PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to recently release a knowledge paper, ‘Leveraging emerging digital technologies for India’s transformation 2017’. As per RBI’s recommendation, banks have been encouraged to explore and develop applications for digital currencies and distributed ledgers

The Shiv Sena on Tuesday drew a comparison between the British era and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government stating that both had blind followers who believed their governance to be Gods blessing.Taking a dig at the BJP-led government at the Centre over the train accidents, the Shiv Sena said, "Bullet train is a Modi governments boon but, train mishaps are not. The BJP and its followers will not even shy away from crediting Modi for natural phenomena like Sun rise.

If it rains good, then it is because of the Modi government but when insects ruin crops then no one from the party will own up to the loss," the Shiv Sena in its editorial said."During the British rule, there were people who said that the English rule is Gods blessing. Similarly, now we have people who say the same about Prime Minister Modis. It is the common which is god in democracy," the editorial added
